About…
Who is Ryan Werner?
Well, hopefully I’m the wedding photographer at the top of your list. I’ve been photographing weddings, part time, since 2004. I occasionally take on Senior and Family portraits, but the bulk of my photography will be weddings. For me, weddings are the best kind of photography. I get to capture precious, spontaneous, fun and real life memories in a digital still photography format that can be instantly shared with friends and family. How can you beat that?
Where are you?
We are currently located in the Greater Denver Area.
Do you use film or digital cameras?
Digital photography is an amazing technology that gets better and better. My cameras are Minolta and Sony branded. Both brands use the same lens mount, which makes it easy for me to swap. Although they are digital, I picked these cameras because they provide the most film-like image of any of the brands currently available. For in church formal images, I also use professional lighting strobes and wireless triggers. Once the images are all captured, I use a custom built Windows PC and Photoshop to process the images and create your disc.
Do you have a certain “style”?
I can recreate most any style out there, but I do prefer the spontaneous candid images that tell a story. This is why I chose wedding photography as my focus. I also like to find a couple favorite images and convert them to black and white. When I do that I tend to add some selective blurring and grain. I believe this brings out the emotion and feeling in the image. You can see samples of my work on the Gallery page.
